Honda HR-V: DTC B1602 Keyless Access Control Unit Internal (EEPROM) Error
DTC (Keyless Access Control Unit)
NOTE: If you are troubleshooting multiple DTCs, be sure to follow the

Diagnosis Test Mode A - Initial Communication and DTC Checks.
1. Problem verification:
- Clear the DTCs with the HDS.
Clear DTCs
- Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode and then the ON mode.
- Check for DTCs with the HDS.
Is DTC B1602 indicated?
YES
Replace the keyless access control unit.
NO
Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time.

Removal
1. 12 Volt Battery Terminal - Disconnect
2. 12 Volt Battery - Remove
Remove the 12 volt battery setting plate (A) and the 12 volt
battery (B).
Installation
1. 12 Volt Battery - Install
Install the 12 volt battery (A) and the 12 volt battery setting plate
(B).
NOTE:
Do not deform
REMOVAL INSTALLATION
FCW OFF SWITCH REMOVAL, INSTALLATION, AND TEST
Removal & Installation
1. Driver's Dashboard Lower Cover - Remove
2. FCW OFF Switch - Remove
Remove the FCW OFF switch (A).
3. All Removed Parts - Install
Install the parts in the reverse order of removal.
