- Rack end removal and installation
- Rack guide adjustment
- Tie-rod end ball joint boot replacement
- If the rack guide is removed, rack guide adjustment is necessary.

Disassembly and Reassembly
NOTE: Refer to the Exploded View as needed during this procedure.
1. Case - Remove (With HFL)
2. Lower Garnish Assembly - Remove
- Disconnect the connector (A)
- Pull out the lower garnish assembly (B)
- Disconnect the connectors (C), then remove the lower
garnish assembly.
3. HFL Switch - Remove (With HFL Switch)
4. Audio Remote Switch and Cruise Control Combination Switch (With Audio
Remote Switch and/or
Cruise Control) - Remove
- With Audio Remote Switch: Remove the audio remote switch
(A)
- With Cruise Control: Remove the cruise control combination
switch (B).
- With Audio Remote Switch: Remove the garnish (A) from the
audio remote switch (B).
- With Cruise Control: Remove the garnish (A) from the cruise
control combination switch (B).
5. Body Cover - Remove
6. Cable Reel Subharness - Remove
7. Paddle Shifter Switch - Remove (With Paddle Shifter)
8. All Removed Parts - Install
- Reassemble the steering wheel in the reverse order of removal.
