Removal and Installation

precautions and
procedures before doing repairs or service.
1. 12 Volt Battery Terminal - Disconnect
NOTE: Wait at least 3 minutes before starting work.
2. Center Console Switch Trim - Remove
3. Front Passenger's Airbag ON/OFF Indicator - Remove

4. All Removed Parts - Install
- Install the all removed parts in the reverse order of removal.
5. SRS Operation - Confirm
- Do the 12 volt battery terminal reconnection procedure, turn the vehicle
to the ON mode, and check
that the SRS indicator comes on for about 6 seconds and then goes off.

1. 12 Volt Battery Terminal - Disconnect

2. Dashboard Side Lid - Remove
3. Front Passenger's Airbag ON/OFF Switch - Remove

- Pull out the front passenger's airbag ON/OFF switch (A), while pushing
the
locks (B) on the inside of the front passenger's airbag ON/OFF switch.
4. All Removed Parts - Install
- Install the all removed parts in the reverse order of removal.
5. SRS Operation - Confirm
- Do the 12 volt battery terminal reconnection procedure, turn the vehicle
to the ON mode, and check
that the SRS indicator comes on for about 6 seconds and then goes off.

that all the required components were replaced with new components of the
correct part number,

1. Vehicle - Lift
2. Engine Undercover - Remove (With 2WD)
3. Transmission Fluid Temperature Sensor - Test
Disconnect the connector (A).NOTE:
To prevent damage, cover the connector using a shop towel.
Check the connector for corrosion, dirt, or oil, and clean or repair
if necessary.
