Honda HR-V: Heater Control Panel Removal and Installation

Removal & Installation

SRS components are located in this area. Review the SRS component locations - Refer to: SRS Component Location Index (KA/KC) and the precautions and procedures before doing repairs or service.

1. Glove Box - Remove

2. Air Mix Control Cable and Mode Control Cable - Remove

  • MAX COOL
  • VENT (Symbol for vent)

HVAC System - Service Information

  1. Detach the control cable (A) from the clamp (B), and disconnect the inner cable (C) from the linkage (D).

3. Switch Panel - Remove

4. Heater Control Panel - Remove

HVAC System - Service Information

  1. Pull out the heater control panel (A)
  2. Remove the harness clip (B)
  3. Disconnect the connectors (C).

5. All Removed Parts - Install

  1. Install the parts in the reverse order of removal.

    NOTE: After assembly, check that the lever slides or the dial turns smoothly through the full stroke from right to left.

HEATER UNIT/CORE REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION

Removal & Installation

NOTE: Be careful not to damage the heater core.

1. HVAC Unit - Remove

2. Heater Core - Remove

HVAC System - Service Information

  1. Remove the driver's heater duct (A)
  2. Remove the heater core cover (B)
  3. Remove the heater pipe bracket (C)
  4. Remove the grommet (D)
  5. Remove the heater core (E).

3. All Removed Parts - Install

  1. Install the parts in the reverse order of removal.

HUMIDITY/IN-CAR TEMPERATURE SENSOR REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION

Removal & Installation

1. Driver's Dashboard Lower Cover - Remove

2. Humidity/In-Car Temperature Sensor - Remove

HVAC System - Service Information

  1. Pull out the humidity/in-car temperature sensor (A), then disconnect the connector (B) and the aspirator hose (C).

HVAC System - Service Information

  1. Remove the humidity/in-car temperature sensor (A)

3. All Removed Parts - Install

  1. Install the parts in the reverse order of removal.
