Removal & Installation

Location Index (KA/KC) and the precautions and procedures before doing repairs or
service.
1. Glove Box - Remove
2. Air Mix Control Cable and Mode Control Cable - Remove
- MAX COOL
- VENT (Symbol for vent)

- Detach the control cable (A) from the clamp (B), and disconnect the
inner cable (C) from the linkage
(D).
3. Switch Panel - Remove
4. Heater Control Panel - Remove

- Pull out the heater control panel (A)
- Remove the harness clip (B)
- Disconnect the connectors (C).
5. All Removed Parts - Install
- Install the parts in the reverse order of removal.
NOTE: After assembly, check that the lever slides
or the dial turns smoothly through the full stroke from right to left.
HEATER UNIT/CORE REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION

NOTE: Be careful not to damage the heater core.
1. HVAC Unit - Remove
2. Heater Core - Remove

- Remove the driver's heater duct (A)
- Remove the heater core cover (B)
- Remove the heater pipe bracket (C)
- Remove the grommet (D)
- Remove the heater core (E).
3. All Removed Parts - Install
- Install the parts in the reverse order of removal.
HUMIDITY/IN-CAR TEMPERATURE SENSOR REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION

1. Driver's Dashboard Lower Cover - Remove
2. Humidity/In-Car Temperature Sensor - Remove

- Pull out the humidity/in-car temperature sensor (A), then disconnect the
connector (B) and the aspirator hose (C).

- Remove the humidity/in-car temperature sensor (A)
3. All Removed Parts - Install
- Install the parts in the reverse order of removal.
