DTC TROUBLESHOOTING
DTC INDICATOR 2 : HVAC CONTROL UNIT INTERNAL ERROR
1. Problem verification:
- Clear the history DTCs.
- Do the Self-Diagnostic Function.
- Checking for DTCs.
Does the RECIRCULATION indicator blink twice?
YES
Replace the HVAC control unit.
NO
Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time.
DTC INDICATOR 3 A PROBLEM IN THE RECIRCULATION CONTROL MOTOR CIRCUIT,
LINKAGE, DOOR, OR MOTOR
1. Problem verification:
- Clear the history DTCs.
- Do the Self-Diagnostic Function.
- Checking for DTCs.
Does the RECIRCULATION indicator blink twice?
YES
Replace the HVAC control unit.
NO
Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time.
DTC INDICATOR 3 A PROBLEM IN THE RECIRCULATION CONTROL MOTOR CIRCUIT,
LINKAGE, DOOR, OR MOTOR
1. Problem verification:
- Clear the history DTCs.
- Do the Self-Diagnostic Function.
- Checking for DTCs.
Does the RECIRCULATION indicator blink three times?
YES
Go to step 2.
NO
Intermittent failure. Check for loose wires or poor connections on the
recirculation control motor circuit.
2. Open wire check (F/R MTR(REC)/M-REC line):
- Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode.

Clear the DTC with the HDS.
Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode.
Test-drive the vehicle.
NOTE: Drive the vehicle on the road, not on a lift.

fluid gets on the paint, wash it off
immediately with water.

Be careful not to damage or deform the brake lines during removal.
