NOTE: Use new gaskets and new self-locking nuts when reassembling.

1. Oil Jet - Remove
2. Cylinder Bore - Honing
Measure the cylinder bores. If the engine block is to be reused, hone
the
cylinders and remeasure the bores. Only scored or scratched cylinder bore
must be
honed.
Hone the cylinder bores with honing oil and a fine (400 grit) stone.

NOTE:
Check the vehicle 12 volt battery condition first.
Check for B-CAN DTCs and resolve them before troubleshooting.
Check the connectors for poor connections or loose terminals.
1. Problem verification.
Test-drive the vehicle at freeway speeds, and monitor if the volume
increases.
