Removal & Installation

1. Tailgate Lower Trim Panel - Remove - Refer to: Interior Trim Removal and Installation - Door Areas, or Interior Trim Removal and Installation - Tailgate Areas, or Interior Trim Removal and Installation - Rear Side Area, or Interior Trim Removal and Installation - Cargo Areas, or Interior Trim Removal and Installation - Pillar Areas (With Side Curtain Airbag), or Interior Trim Removal and Installation - Pillar Areas (Without Side Curtain Airbag)

2. Inner Taillight - Remove

Exterior Lighting - Service Information

  1. Disconnect the connector(s)
  2. Remove the inner taillight (A).

3. All Removed Parts - Install

Exterior Lighting - Service Information

  1. Install the parts in the reverse order of removal.

    NOTE : Inspect the gasket; replace it if it is distorted or stays compressed.

Removal & Installation

1. License Plate Light - Remove

  1. Push the license plate light assembly (A) to the side to release the retaining spring (B), and pull out the license plate light assembly.

  1. Disconnect the connector (A)
  2. Separate the lens (B) from the housing (C)
  3. Remove the bulb (D) from the housing.

2. All Removed Parts - Install

  1. Install the parts in the reverse order of removal.
