Honda HR-V: Clutch Pedal Position Switch A Test (M/T)
Test
1. Connector (Clutch Pedal Position Switch A) - Disconnect

- Disconnect the connector (A).
2. Clutch Pedal Position Switch A - Test

- Check for continuity between the terminals according to the table. If
the continuity is not as specified, replace clutch pedal position switch A.
3. All Removed Parts - Install
- Install the parts in the reverse order of removal.
REVERSE LOCKOUT SOLENOID TEST (M/T)
Test
1. Reverse Lockout Solenoid - Remove
2. Reverse Lockout Solenoid - Test

- Connect jumper wires from the battery positive terminal to reverse
lockout solenoid
2P connector terminal No. 1, and from the battery negative terminal to
reverse lockout
solenoid 2P connector terminal No. 2
- Make sure the reverse lockout solenoid works. If the reverse lockout
solenoid does
not work, replace it.
NOTE: The inhibitor should be pushed out when applying battery voltage to
the
solenoid, and the inhibitor should be released when there is no battery
voltage at the
solenoid.
3. Reverse Lockout Solenoid - Install

1. Engine Undercover (2WD) - Remove
2. CKP Sensor Cover - Remove
Remove the CKP sensor cover (A).
3. CKP Sensor - Remove
4. All Removed Parts - Install
Install the parts in the reverse order of removal with a new O-ring.
5. CKP Pattern - Clear/Learn
CMP SENSOR REMO
NOTE:
Check the vehicle 12 volt battery condition first.
Check for B-CAN DTCs and resolve them before troubleshooting.
Check the connectors for poor connections or loose terminals.
1. Problem verification.
Test-drive the vehicle at freeway speeds, and monitor if the volume
increases.
