Honda HR-V: Front Lower Arm Removal and Installation

Removal & Installation

1. Vehicle - Lift

2. Front Wheel - Remove

3. Lower Arm Ball Joint - Disconnect

  1. Remove the flange bolt (A)
  2. Remove the self-locking nuts (B).

    NOTE :

    • Use new self-locking nuts and the flange bolt during reassembly.
    • Tighten the self-locking nuts and the flange bolt in the sequence shown.
  3. Disconnect the lower arm (C) from the lower arm ball joint (D).

4. Lower Arm - Remove

NOTE: Use the new lower arm mounting bolts during reassembly.

5. All Removed Parts - Install

  1. Install the lower arm in the reverse order of removal.

    NOTE: First install the bushing part, and lightly tighten it, then raise the suspension to load it with the vehicle's weight before fully tightening it to the specified torque.

6. Wheel Alignment - Check
