Honda HR-V: Front Stabilizer Bar Removal and Installation (2WD)
Removal
1. Vehicle - Lift
2. Front Wheels - Remove
3. Front Splash Shield - Remove
4. Stabilizer Link - Disconnect
- Disconnect both sides of the stabilizer link from the stabilizer bar.
5. Stabilizer Bar - Remove
- Remove the bushing holders (A)
- Remove the bushings (B)
- Move the stabilizer bar (C) toward the driver's side, and remove the
stabilizer bar.
NOTE : Be careful not to damage the
steering gearbox.
Installation
1. Stabilizer Bar - Install
- Install the stabilizer bar (A) from the driver's side.
NOTE : Be careful
not to damage the steering gearbox
- Install the bushings (B) on the stabilizer bar.
NOTE :
- Note the direction of installation for the bushing.
- Align the paint marks (C) on the stabilizer bar with the side of the
bushings.
- Install the bushing holders (D).
2. Stabilizer Link - Connect
- Connect both sides of the stabilizer link to the stabilizer bar.
3. Front Splash Shield - Install
4. Front Wheels - Install

3. Steering Column Tilt and Telescopic Position - Set
Set the steering column to the center tilt position, and to the center
telescopic position.
Removal
1. Vehicle - Lift
2. Front Wheel - Remove
3. Stabilizer Link - Remove
Remove the self-locking nut (A) and the flange nut (B) while holding the
respective joint pin (C) with a hex wrench (
Removal & Installation
1. Vehicle - Lift
2. Rear Wheels - Remove
3. Parking Brake - Release
4. Hub Bearing Unit - Remove - Refer to: Rear Hub Bearing Unit Removal and
Installation (2WD), or Rear

1. Center Console Rear Trim - Remove
2. Center Console Armrest - Remove
Remove the screw, then remove the hinge pin (A)
Remove the center console armrest (B).
3. All Removed Parts -Install
Install the parts in the reverse order of removal.
