Honda HR-V: Propeller Shaft Removal and Installation (AWD)
Removal & Installation
1. Vehicle - Lift
2. Fuel Tank Gard Pipe - Remove
3. Front center member - Remove
4. Propeller Shaft - Remove
- Remove the propeller shaft protector (A).
- Make a reference mark (A) across the No. 1 propeller shaft (B) and
the transfer companion flange (C)
- Remove the No. 1 propeller shaft flange bolts (D).
- Make a reference mark (A) across the No. 2 propeller shaft (B) and the
rear differential companion flange (C)
- Remove the No. 2 propeller shaft flange bolts (D).
- Remove the center support bearing mounting bolts
(A).
5. All Removed Parts - Install
- Install the parts in the reverse order of removal.
NOTE: Set the No. 1 propeller shaft to the transfer
companion flange by aligning the reference mark you made during the removal
procedure.
6. Test Drive - Check
NOTE: Test drive the vehicle on the road, not on the lift.

steering gearbox.

2. Steering Gearbox Mount Cushion - Remove
