Honda HR-V: Under-Hood Fuse/Relay Box Removal and Installation

Removal & Installation
NOTE: The under-hood fuse/relay box is a part of the left engine compartment
wire harness, and it cannot be
replaced by itself.
1. 12 Volt Battery Terminal - Disconnect
2. PCM - Remove
3. Under-Hood Fuse/Relay Box - Remove

- Remove the upper cover (A)
- Cut the bands (B)
- Remove the covers (C)
- Remove the under-hood fuse/relay box (D) from the bottom cover (E)
- Remove the bottom cover
- Carefully remove the relays by prying under the base of the relay.
NOTE :
Do not
use pliers. Pliers will damage the relays, which could cause the engine to
stall or not
start or cause other functions to fail.
4. All Removed Parts - Install
- Install the parts in the reverse order of removal.
NOTE: Confirm that all systems work properly.

It is normal for the A/C compressor to turn off under certain
conditions, such as low idle, high engine
coolant temperature, or hard acceleration.
Do not use this troubleshooting procedure if the fans are also
inoperative with the A/C on. Refer to the
symptom troubleshooting index - R
